Hello my little love nugget.
Christmas is knocking on our door like a boozy elf with a magnum of champagne in one hand and a big ladle of gravy in the other.
Before we dive headlong into the stress of overcooked turkeys and undercooked family dramas, can we just pause for a moment and remember what the hell this holiday is actually about?

STOP!!
TAKE A DEEP BREATHE
OBSERVE ALL THE GLORY OF THE RIGHT NOW!
PROCEED MINDFULLY TO THE FRIDGE FOR A WINE TOP UP!
( see what I did there ??!!)
Once upon a time, you woke up on Christmas morning feeling like the world was dipped in magic.
Before the gift cards and complicated family politics took over, there was this sense of wonder in the air.
Maybe it was the twinkle of fairy lights, or the hush of snow outside (if you were lucky enough to have it), or the anticipation of something special.
That feeling?
That’s your inner child waving hello, reminding you to take a damn breath and enjoy the moment.
( Personally I dont have an issue with this as i'm usually the first awake on Christmas morning pacing the floorboards waiting for everyone else to wake up while I go squish all the presents , check my watch a gazillion times , accidentally making loud noises , SORRY ! NOT SORRY ! in the hope of waking everyone up so we can get the PARTY started.......)
Anyhow enough about me where was I ?
Oh yes
At its core, Christmas isn’t about perfect table settings or Insta-worthy dessert spreads.
It’s about
Love.
Joy.
Connection.
The good stuff that makes life worth living.
It’s about laughing until your sides hurt and dancing in your kitchen with a glass of fizz.
It’s about remembering that we’re all here to lift each other up, share some kindness, and maybe top off that kindness with a bucket tonne of bubbly and a gravy boat that never runs dry.
Enter: Duck Fat Potatoes & Bucket Tonnes of Champers
Because let’s be honest, we’re all here for those crispy, golden duck fat potatoes that taste like pure heaven and come with zero regrets.
Pair that with a top-up of champagne (or prosecco, or a cheeky cocktail—no judgment), and suddenly the day feels lighter, brighter, and a whole lot more fun.
Embrace Your Inner Child
Let’s do something radical this year: let’s reclaim that childlike delight.
Eat the extra cookie without guilt. Giggle at silly Christmas movies.
Stick your face in the tree branches just to smell that piney goodness.
Sing Mariah Carey at the top of your lungs.
Wear that ridiculous sweater. Stop giving a damn about what’s “proper” or “should” and just do what makes your heart happy.
Why This Matters
When you tap into that sense of wonder and joy, you realize that the true gift of Christmas doesn’t come wrapped in paper and bows.
It’s in the shared laughter, the heartfelt hugs, the understanding nods over wine , egg nog or whatever your perfect tipple is .
It’s in recognizing that despite the chaos, stress, and expectations, you’re allowed to just enjoy this.
To feel it.
To live it.
For those who might be spending this season alone, or not feeling lucky enough to have family close by, know that I’m sending you the warmest virtual cuddle.
Hold on tight to the belief that in time
you will find joy
connection
and a circle of love that makes your heart sing.
Until then, please remember that you are cherished, just as you are, right now.
And when the tinsel settles and the fizz fades, that’s when my Magnificent Intentional Year steps in. This isn’t about rigid resolutions or forcing yourself into a cookie-cutter version of a “better you.”
It’s about guiding your journey with intention, harnessing that same energy of love and laughter, and carrying it into the new year.
It’s like having a gentle compass to point you toward more
meaning
purpose
and connection
all while acknowledging that life is meant to be lived, not micromanaged.

So go on, indulge a bit, embrace the spontaneous belly laughs, blast that Bublé track, gather who you can close (in spirit or in person), and know that you are never truly alone.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not about how perfect your holiday spread looks—it’s about how deeply you feel alive, and how intentionally you’ll shape the year to come.
Cheers to you, your magnificent intentions, and a holiday season that’s as messy, heartfelt, and magnificent as you are!
